You should not purchase a firearm if you need read this book
Not a bad read, describes firearms safety in very clear terms.
I was able to finish this short book in about an hour, so it's more of an extended pamphlet than a book. But it still serves as a good basic introduction to gun safety, as well as gun selection, so it's a good place to start if you're interested in getting a gun but know nothing about guns. If you already have some experience with guns, you may still want to read it, since it doesn't take much time or money, and safety is certainly the #1 priority with guns.

This is a good beginners guide to safety and knowing the difference between types of handguns but does not have much for someone looking for a more comprehensive book on handguns. Wish it had more to it.
