"Expressions of My Own Heart” is a collection of inspirational poems and short stories which is based on true life experiences. I started writing as a way of release after a forbidden love, an affair that I had with a married man, which began after the death of my only child and a divorce from my husband of 13 years.
The hurt from the loss of my child, Brandon, my divorce and the affair forced me to reevaluate my life and caused me to seek the face of God. Seeking Him was partially because of the hurt and the other was due to the guilt that I had bear from the affair.
Along with prayer, writing became my avenue for delivery. With God as my source, His perfect grace started me on my way to reconstruction. My desire is that a poem or short story can be an inspiration or be of encouragement to anyone who reads them. At the very least, I pray that it gives someone hope.

No matter who you are, or where you are in life, this book will touch your soul. As I read these poems I felt like there was someone out there who understood where I was coming from. "A Part of Me Is Missing," really spoke to me. It changed the way that I saw my son! Thank You, Sherri Glover!
Expressions of My Own Heart is a very inspirational book that reaches into the hearts of all that will read it. These poems speak to all who may have gone through, may be going through and to those who will go through different situations in life. They bring a sense of understanding to those who think no one else understands, they are words that bring life to dead situations. This book is very uplifting and encouraging it brings comfort to your soul.

WOW! what a read! Sherri opens her heart and soul in her poetry. She shows her true spiritual strength by her willingness to expose her vulnerabilities to the world. I have learned so much about myself by reading her poetry. I am especially taken by the prose that accompanies several of her poems. She offers a great deal of insight into the story behind the words. This book is a powerful witness for anyone, no matter where life has taken you to this point. I can't wait for her next book!
I recommend this inspirational book, which touched my heart in a very special way. I want to thank god for blessing us with Sherri Glover and her ability to write so that we may get a feel of gods presence through her words. Sherri Glover is a wonderful women and author whom I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming very good friends with. Our meeting came about after she had an affair with my husband and instead of resulting to violence I made a choice to reach out to her hoping it would help bring closure to my marriage, but instead it brought my husband and I back together and friends with this remarkable woman of god. Sherri Glover first poem of her book titled "She Is Now My Friend" is about me the wife and the friendship which came out of a bad situation.
Just to let you know that my immediate response was not to become friends, because I was very hurt and bitter towards the both of them and wanted no parts of either person, but god turned things around and told me that all would be restored. All you need to do is let go and let GOD!! It took sometime for me to come around and be obedient to what god was telling me, but it all paid off and I now have a wonderful relationship with my husband today. My husband is now saved and my marriage has been restored by surrendering all to GOD.
I'm writing this review because I believe in Sherri Glover and I know that god has placed her here for a reason and that is to get the word out and touch others with her writing. I also pray that more women like me and Sherri will stop and hear a word from god before seeking revenge on others. God has saved my husband and I and he will do the same for you. I encourage all to purchase the book and gain some fulfillment from the reading of these poems.
